Astronomy-My favorite part of the astronomy chapter was really jut looking at all the pictures of stars, moons, and many more. My favorite project was the earth and its phases. Woody, Haydyn, and I worked together to do a powerpoint on earths phases. It was an awesome experience learning about the Space.
Weather and climate(Atmosphere)-Photochemical Smog was fun to learn i never new about it before we did this project. It was fun learning about it and what it is.
Geology-I liked learning about the different kinds of rocks and how they form. It was neat how rocks form from volcanos i didnt know thats were they came from.
Weathering and Erosion-I loved doing the project for weathering and erosion it was an awesome movie. It was fun usng technology in science class to learn about things.
Earths Water-Learning about water is a lot more fun than i thought we did a project on water around the world and the country's on them. It gave a lot of perspective that we use way too much water and are spoiled for what we have.

Manitou gets there water from pikes peak. It is some of the best water in the nation. It comes from the rocky mountains and springs in them. It is better water because it has not been through any water treatments so it s the freshest. There is also the manitou watershed/reservoir. This supply's manitou with water and a extra amount of water that they really don't need. The treatment plant in manitou takes the water that they have or have recycled and put it in storage tanks higher above manitou.
Colorado springs also gets there water from the rocky mountains. Nearly 75% of the water comes from snow melt. Colorado Springs has a big collection of water, 25 reservoirs and over 200 miles of piping.50% of water is used for irrigation.
